Macon- Robert William Finley, 83, passed away, Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2012 in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Len Woodard officiating. The Family will greet friends Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 10:00 to 10:45 at the funeral home.
Mr. Finley was born in South Carolina. He was retired from Delta Life Insurance in Gadsden, AL and had also worked part-time for Enterprise Car Rental. He proudly served in the United States Army and Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Finley is survived by his cousins: Mary (Doug) Driver of Macon, Pat (Frank) Patterson of Macon, Wayne Driver of Forsyth, Stacy Cobb and Jennifer Taylor both of Jones Co., and Frank Patterson III of Macon. He was affectionately known as “Uncle Robert” by Shelby, T.J. Macy, Evan, Alyssa, Zack, and Kristen.
