Mrs. Meharg was a lifelong reader, dedicated to family, and devoted member of Log Cabin Presbyterian Church, where she served as the church secretary for many years. She retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co., where she received numerous awards for her outstanding decades of work.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lizzie Lee Johnson; her husband, James Walter Meharg; her daughter, Holley Dee Lamb Herring; and her brothers, Gerald Johnson and John “Huey” (Louise) Johnson.
Robbie is survived by her children, Beverly Spillers of Vienna, GA; Steve Meharg of Ft. Valley, GA; and Lynn Meharg of Kennesaw, GA; six grandchildren, Jason (Shannon) Stevens, Daniel (Sarah) Lamb, Rachel Herring, Shelby Herring Gregory, Tyler Meharg, and Kelly (Jon) Haynes; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024 at 12 noon in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery located at 3969 Mercer University Dr Macon, GA 31204.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Reading Is Fundamental, a charity that provides opportunities for children to improve their literacy.
