From Jane: Reflections of Patsy.
As if she were a sparkling gem and sunlight cast its rays.
She sparkled and she shone for us in oh so many ways.
She led and inspired us to go beyond our best.
Her light was never brighter than in her final test.
Surrounded by her loved ones, chin lifted, shoulders square,
she raged a mighty battle, waged with courage and with care.
Such poise, such grace and beauty.
Love lights a weary face as she whispered our instructions,
still in charge, she set the pace.
Her resolve had somehow deepened and faith had seen her through.
She left the fight with each of us.
Her reflection shines in you.
From Diane: Patsy has been my best friend for over 50 years. We met when we were about 17 years old. I didn’t know then that I was about to inherit her family. That truly was an amazing gift. Everyone should have a friend like Patsy. If not, you are missing out on the most important part of life. We laughed a lot. Sometimes when it wasn’t funny. We shared the good times and the bad times. Patsy was the sister I never had. She was always there for me. Patsy loved to travel and enjoy life. The beach was her favorite. The memories we made are priceless. I could go on and on and on and still not pay enough tribute to this precious lady. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. We were friend for life. She told it like she saw it, whether you liked it or not. I loved her so much.
