Mattie Lee W. Collins

Mattie Lee Collins, 91, joined her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 13, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The Rev. John Prettyman will officiate. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. They may be contacted at the home of Rita C. Williams.

Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis O. Collins and was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Pennie Warren Williams. Born in Dublin, she lived in Macon most of her life and was a devoted homemaker. Mrs. Collins was a charter member of Central Fellowship Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Forever Young Sunday School Class.

She is survived by the family she adored, her son, Larry Lewis Collins of Culloden; her daughter, Rita C. Williams of Macon; nine grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil Williams of Macon and Herbert Williams of Forsyth; her sister, Isabell Durden of Dublin; several nieces and nephews.
