Marion Lewis Adams

Marion Lewis Adams, 88, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024. A Funeral Mass and private burial will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 Poplar Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.

Marion was born in Macon. She was the daughter of Louise Thomson Adams and Charles LeHardy Adams, Jr. She was a 1953 graduate of Mt. de Sales Academy. Ms. Adams retired from Oldham’s Opticians where she worked for over 40 years. She was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Marion was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Carole Adams Nichols, and her brother-in-law, Robert R. Nichols. Marion is survived by her nephews and nieces, whom she loved as her own: Robbie (Lisa) Nichols of West Point, GA, Charles (Brenda) Nichols of Simpsonville, SC, Melissa (David) Showers of Parkville, MO, and Amy (Jim) Dever of Raleigh, NC. She also is survived by nine great nieces and nephews and eight great great nieces and nephews.

The family thanks Lynn Haven Health and Rehabilitation nurses and staff for the wonderful care that they provided to Marion since July 2023.
