Linda West Morgan

Linda West Morgan, 78, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at a local hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Paul Dziadul will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2 p.m. to service time on Saturday at Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial gifts may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 885 Mulberry Street, Macon 31201.

Mrs. Morgan, daughter of the late Richard Henry Long and Maebea Cavender Long, was born in Newnan, GA. She was a graduate of Newnan High School and was a Media Specialist with the Bibb County School System. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Morgan and was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her daughters, Melinda West Morris, Locust Grove, Marcella West White, Macon, Debra Jean (Ricky) West Spann, Monroe and Susan (Barry) West McNeal, Dadeville, AL; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; her sister, Nellie Joe Long, Orlando, FL; her brother, Clifford Long, White, GA; her companion, Ben McCollum; stepchildren, Elaine (Michael) Alexander, Dallas, TX and Glenda (Herman) Ridley, Daytona, FL; several nieces and nephews.
