LaTrelle Russ Tidwell

LaTrelle Russ Tidwell, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, October 18, 2015. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2:00pm in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm until 1:45pm Tuesday at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, 1365 Clifton Road, Atlanta, 30322.

Mrs. Tidwell was born in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Jefferson and Cornelia Wright Russ and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Tidwell and daughter, Olivia Ellen Jeffreys. She was a Cosmetology Instructor at Southwest High School, where she was not only a teacher, but a mentor to her students as well. Mrs. Tidwell was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and loved serving her Lord. She enjoyed silk ribbon embroidery, collecting hummingbirds, and was an avid QVC shopper. Mrs. Tidwell was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her children, Barbara Doyle, Oliver Hall and Angela (Mark) Frady; grandchildren, Judy Stewart, Sheri Burdell, Jason Odom, Heather Campbell, Jordan Frady, Christopher Frady and Morgan Frady; and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
