Larry was born in Moultrie, Georgia, May 11, 1946. He was a “Leading-Edge Baby Boomer.” The family moved to Macon in the winter of 1955. He attended Fort Hawkins elementary and graduated from Willingham. Larry served in the U.S. Navy. After returning from the military, he worked at Eastern Airlines, sold insurance for Delta Life and worked as an automobile Service Manager until his retirement in 2010. Larry subsequently went back to work and at the time of his passing he was employed by O’Reilly Auto Parts at their Tom Hill Boulevard location. He was a valued employee and well liked. He enjoyed meeting and working with people.
Larry was an affable person; he injected humor into his work and social life.
A treasured childhood memory: After Nona was born, he loaded his toys into a Radio Flyer wagon and walked around the community selling his toys to help the family pay the cost of Nona’s birth. He later said he wanted his toys back.

Riggins; brother-in-law and best bud, Forrest Davis; daughter, Jodi Handley; son, Tony Riggins; granddaughters, Heather Harper, and Amber Riggins; grandson, Corey Riggins; and his precious great-granddaughter, Hadley Harper. He is also survived by his treasured best friend and companion, Hank, his Yellow Lab whom he affectionately referred to as “Son.”
