Jerry Wayne Roquemore, 82, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 26, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Sheppard officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cathedral of Christ Baptist Church, 3216 Hartley Bridge Road, Macon GA 31216.
Wayne was born in Byron, Georgia to the late Seab and Minnie Tucker Roquemore. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie C. Roquemore, son, Charles “Butch” Letlow, grandson, Michael Smith and three brothers and four sisters. Wayne was retired from YKK and was a member of Cathedral of Christ Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna L. (Dan) Smith of Macon, grandchildren, Christopher (Sarah) Smith, Stephen (Chelsea) Smith, Chandra (Jeff) Massey, Chad (Christy) Letlow, and Malacy Letlow, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his companion, Betty Hines.
