(Ret) Chief Master Sergeant, James H. Tucker, 91, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 21, 2021 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Watson and Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors. The family will greet friends on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Tucker was born in Macon to the late Howard and Gracie Anderson Tucker. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret Tucker Hicks (Roman) of Eatonton, Robert Tucker (Louise) of Macon, Jeanette Tucker Otto (Raymond) of NY, Jack Tucker (Edith) of FL, Larry Tucker of FL, Gary Tucker of Macon, JoAnn Tucker Sullivan of Byron and brother-in-law, Hansel Hester of Marietta. James served in the United States Army for two years, and then retired from the Georgia Air National Guard as Chief Master Sergeant at the age of 60 and then retired from Robins Air Force Base at the age of 80. He enjoyed playing softball in the summer, and played basketball in the winter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Helen Addleton Tucker of Macon, children, Mike Tucker (Terri) of Carrollton, GA, Judy Tucker Watson (Marty) of Warner Robins and Janet Tucker Adams (John) of Macon; grandchildren, Jay Tucker of Macon, Lee Tucker (Emily) of Villa Rica, GA, Lee Adams (Crystal) of Winder, GA, Brooke Watson of Warner Robins, Cody Adams of Macon and Bethany Watson of Warner Robins; great grandchildren, Hailey Adams, Katie Adams, Abby Kate Tucker and Jacob Adams; sisters, Delores Tucker Hester of Sandy Springs and Joyce Tucker Omo of CA; brother-in-law, Frank Sullivan of Byron, GA; sister-in-laws, Linda Tucker (Florida) and Linda Tucker (Georgia); numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family would like to give a special thanks to staff of Amedisys Hospice and Angels at Home for all of their care and support in this time. Special thanks also to, caregivers, Brenda and James Sinclair.
