James “Jim” F. Leach, 87, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 8, 2018, at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kindred Hospice, 319 Margie Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088 or any animal rescue organizations.
Mr. Leach was born in Hillsboro, GA, to the late Milledge Leach and Elizabeth Ivey Leach. Mr. Leach was preceded in death by his brother, Glover Leach, sister, Sara Taylor and his beloved Pretty Boy. He attended Bob Jones University and then transferred to Stetson University in DeLand, FL, and received his bachelor’s degree. He worked for the IRS as an auditor and then as a CPA. He was a member of Elam Baptist Church.
Mr. Leach is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Leach of Macon, GA, daughter, Lauren (Mario) Leblanc of Altamonte Springs, FL and his three grand cats, Charlotte, Lily, and Penelope.
