Jackie Brewer, 76, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, October 21, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 23 at 2 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, with Mr. Gary Gigliotti officiating. Burial will follow at New Elim Baptist Church Cemetery. Jackie was born in Macon to the late Clarence “Jack” Hardy and Sara Potts Hardy. Jackie and Ted worked together for almost 53 years, owning and working at Brewer’s Machine Shop since 1963.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Ted Brewer of Jeffersonville; a son, Alan Brewer of Brookhaven, and a granddaughter, Chelsea Brewer, of Sandy Springs, several cousins including, Ann Vinson of Byron. Her extended family includes Larry Brewer of Eatonton, Fay Lucas of Macon, Jane (Homer) Leslie of Macon and Jimmy (Barbara Ann) Brewer, also of Macon. She treasured her spiritual family, members of the Joycliff Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, as well as her life-long friends, Joyce Nishanian and Sandra Land.
