Harry L. Fletcher, 90, entered eternal life on Thursday, October 10th. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 12th at 11 a.m. at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Crede Hinshaw officiating. The family will greet friends on Friday, October 11th from 6 – 7 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, 3077 Pio Nono Avenue, Macon. The family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Central Georgia, 886 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201.
Mr. Fletcher was born in Macon to the late Thelma Bridwell Fletcher and John Snelson Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Parker Fletcher, his siblings; John Paul Fletcher, Venicia Joyce “Tut” Dickson, Fred Fletcher and Georgia Mae Shipman.
Mr. Fletcher served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945. Harry was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was retired from Georgia Kraft Company after 36 years of service. He was a member of the United Paper Workers of America.
Mr. Fletcher is survived by his daughters, Cathy (Tommy) Tucker and Nancy (George) Alexy; grandchildren, Melissa Petersen, Michelle Gallaher, Matt Alexy and Josh Alexy; six great-grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.
