Gregory L. Cape, 54, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at a local hospital. Memorial services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with Pastor Reginald Wayne Sharpe officiating. Burial will be private. The family will meet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time on Monday at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Children’ s Hospital of Navicent Health, 777 Hemlock Street, Macon, GA 31201.
A lifelong resident of Macon, Greg was the son of the late Jerry Lawrence Cape. He was a member of the Umpire Association of Central City Park and was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved music. Greg was of the Christian Faith and was a man of many trades. Because of his love for people, he was always the life of the party. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, nephew and cousins. Above all, he was devoted to the loves of his life, his grandsons.
Left to cherish his memory and his love are his daughter, Kacie Leigh Cape; his beloved grandsons, Kaleb and Kolby; his mother, Barbara Cape; two sisters, Holly (Kevin) Stilwell and Ginny Cape (Jimmy) Wood; his aunt and uncle, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
