Fabia Trice Rogers passed away peacefully on December 8, 2021, in Macon, Georgia. The family takes great comfort in that her son, Reg Rogers, was by her side. Funeral services are Tuesday, December 14th at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 582 Walnut Street in Macon, with the Reverend Cynthia Knapp officiating and Ann Smith of Vineville Methodist Church speaking. Following the service there will be a reception at the church for the family to receive friends. Visitation with the family is Monday, December 13th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at 138 Covington Place, Macon. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery.
Born and raised in Macon, Fabia was a charming conversationalist and was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great children. Fabia attended Miller High School in Macon, and Randolph-Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia. Fabia was a past board member of the Arts Council and the Boy’s Club. She volunteered for Christ Episcopal Church, Meals on Wheels, Head Start, and was a long-time member of Christ Episcopal Church, the Junior League, and Museum of Arts and Sciences Fine Arts Committee.
Fabia was the daughter of the late Reginald Roberts Trice and Frankie Raines Trice and sister of the late Regina Trice Hawkins. She is survived by her three children, John Francis Rogers III (Noreen) of Marblehead, Massachusetts, Reginald Trice Rogers (Suzanne) of Macon, Georgia, and Fabia Rogers Butler (Geoffrey) of Mill Valley, California; six grandchildren, Lindsey Henderson Gonnella, John Francis Rogers IV, Natalie Raines Smith, Bradford Elliott Butler, Reese Charlton Butler, and Matthew Trice Rogers; two great grandchildren, Harper Henderson Gonnella and Quinn Grace Gonnella; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends throughout Georgia, Highlands, North Carolina, and beyond.
