Marietta – Evelyn Joyner Price, 90, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2010 in an Atlanta hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. The Rev. Joe McDaniel will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1 p.m. to service time at the funeral home and suggests that those who wish make memorial contributions to the Building Fund at Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church, 1415 Bass Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 858 High Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Mrs. Price was the wife of the late Albert W. Price of Macon, GA and the daughter of the late James Arthur and Letha Mae Zissett Joyner of Olar, SC. A native of Barnwell County in South Carolina, she had lived in Macon from 1949 to 2005 when she moved to the Atlanta area. Mrs. Price was retired from Keebler Bakery and was a member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church where she had been a member of the Faith Bible Class, the WMU and the Golden Reflection Choir. In the Atlanta area, she attended Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.
Survivors include her only son and daughter-in-law, James A. and Dianne W. Price of Duluth; her grandchildren, Amanda Price Dobrich and her husband, David of Charlotte, NC, James Adam and Olivia Price of Troutman, NC, Brian and Lane Amstutz of Marietta, GA and Jeffrey Amstutz of Marietta; her great grandchildren, Lilly E. Price of Troutman, NC and James Andrew Dobrich of Charlotte, NC.
Mrs. Price leaves many fond memories of her generosity to help others in need and times of illnesses. She always worried about everyone else and will be missed.
