Ernest “Ernie” Wayne Shepherd, 74, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020. Due to COVID-19 services will be private, Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Quint Shepherd officiating. Ernie was born in Dudley, Georgia to the late Frank N. and Bertha Mae Peacock Shepherd. He was preceded in death by his daughter; Audrey Michelle Shepherd, his siblings; George W. “Scottie” Shepherd, Panzy Nell “Pat” Shepherd Brockman, Frank N. “Bo” Shepherd, Jr., Arthur Ray Shepherd. He was the owner and operator of Whiskey River for thirty-six years and currently the owner of Mr. E’s night club. He was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his sons; Ken (Pam) Shepherd of Macon, Bobby Lee Shepherd, Sr. of Macon, five grandchildren; Jessica Nicole Shepherd (John) of Macon, Kenneth Wayne Shepherd, Jr. (Kayla), Matthew Wingo, Bobby Lee Shepherd, Jr., Austin Levi Shepherd, great grandchildren; Bentley Shepherd-Jones, Kenneth Wayne “Tripp” Shepherd III, Elizabeth Lorene “Ellie” Shepherd- Jones, sister; Carolyn Shepherd Hall (John), brother; Charles Shepherd (Rene), and numerous nieces and nephews.
