Douglas Wainwright Branham

1st SGT Douglas Wainwright Branham Sr., 80 passed away January 2, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Dziadul officiating. Interment will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Mr. Branham was born in Ward, West Virginia on April 14, 1942. After spending twenty years in the Army, he retired to Macon, Georgia where he held several jobs including teaching ROTC at Central High School, working as a district manager for the Macon Telegraph, and ending his career as a mail carrier.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Branham; brother, Earl Branham; and sister, Emily McDonald.

He is survived by his daughter Lori Branham of Pelham, Georgia; son, Douglas W. Branham Jr. (Cindy) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Douglas W. Branham III (Jamie), Maria Loney (Billy), James Branham (Katie), Michael Branham (Luzy); twelve great grandchildren; brothers, James Branham (Evelyn) and Harry Branham (Versie); and sister, Linda Ritter. He also leaves behind his five fur babies and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
