MACON – Deborah Ann Scott “Debbie,” 55, lost her courageous battle with cancer at her home on Monday, March 22, 2010. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 25th at Northway Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Kevin Mills and the Rev. Phil Anderson will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. They suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 4406, Macon 31208 or to your favorite Relay for Life Team.
Mrs. Scott was born in Milledgeville and was a graduate of Baldwin High School and Crandall Business College. She was a Risk Management Specialist with the Medical Center of Central Georgia for twenty years. Mrs. Scott was a member of Northway Church where she was a member of the Ladies’ Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her father, William Floyd Goggans and was an avid supporter of the Relay for Life.
Survivors include her family whom she adored, her husband of thirty-three years, Tom Scott of Macon; her children, Will (Ivy) Scott and Alison Scott, of Macon; her mother, Jean Goggans of Milledgeville; her brother, Jimmy Goggans of Gordon; two nephews; two nieces and her beloved companion, her dog, “Maggie.”
