Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Len Woodard will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon 31204.
Larry was born in Macon the son of the late Helen Yeomans and David Lloyd George and was the widower of Judy Smith George. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandy George Glover and a granddaughter, Emily Lauren George.
Larry worked in accounting for most of his life and was a member of Vineville Baptist Church, where he served in the Men’s Ministry. He found joy in being with his family and friends and the several poodles he had throughout his life, going out to eat for a good meal and listening to music from his record collection.
Larry is survived by his son, David George (Kathy) of Macon; daughter, Kelly Stewart (Daniel) of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Brooke Shearer (Jason), Virginia Hartenhoff (Duane), Tyler Douglas (Hannah), Annabelle Stewart, and Joseph Stewart; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
