Curtis "Pete" Ross

Curtis Lee “Pete” Ross, Sr., 74, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Adcock officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Grace and Truth Baptist Church, Columbus Road, Macon GA 31220.

Mr. Ross was born in Coffee, County to the late Wilbur and Ira Music Ross. He was served in the United States Navy and was a member of Grace and Truth Baptist Church. He was retired from Swift Creek Environmental as a supervisor. Pete loved the outdoors and his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and sisters and brother.

He his is survived by his loving wife of thirty two years, Ruth Minshew Ross of Macon, sons, Curtis Lee Ross, Jr. of Twiggs, Co., Mark (Dawn) Higginbotham of Gray, daughter, Patti Suzanne Ross of Macon, ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Faye Knighton and Laverne Walker and brother, Lamar Benson and several nieces and nephews.
