Clara L. “Lou” McCroba, 86, passed away, Sunday, July 20, 2014. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Paul Dziadul will officiate. The family will greet friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Mrs. McCroba was born in Wheeling, West Virginia the daughter of the late Ollie Gilchrist Thompson and Clyde E. Thompson. She was the widow of Walter H. McCroba and was a homemaker. Mrs. McCroba was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Georgia, the Order of Eastern Star, and the Garden Club.
Mrs. McCroba is survived by her sons, Curtis E. McCroba of Columbus, GA and Dr. W. Craig (Sue) McCroba of Macon; grandchildren, Heather Anne McCroba, Lauren Ashley (Chris) Harris, Kristin N. McCroba, and Christopher Ryan (Leah) McCroba; 5 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Laney, Shane, Brayden, and Brooks.
