He was born March 1, 1940 in Montgomery, Alabama to Charles P. and Hilda Woodall, Jr. At a young age the family moved to Winter Haven, Florida where Charles grew up. After high school Charles served our country in the United States Air Force based at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, Florida.
Charles Woodall married Simone, the love of his life, forty years ago in Tallahassee, Florida. They moved to Macon twenty three years ago where they have lived a treasured life with and in support of each other ever since. They both have been devout members of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church. Charles truly enjoyed woodworking becoming quite skilled in the art of bowl turning. He dedicated his time and talent often in support of the Macon community as an active member of Rebuilding Macon and creating artwork for various groups in support of underprivileged children and others. Charles was a member of Middle Georgia Woodworkers and Barnesville Woodturners Associations.
Charles Woodall is survived by his wife Simone, and their children Charles P. Woodall, IV of Monument, CO; Russell Woodall of Macon, GA; Chris & Laura Pelham of Tallahassee, FL; Cary & Jennifer Pelham of Tallahassee, FL; Tamara Woodall of Kihei Maui, HI: Grandchildren Brianna Woodall of Monument, CO; Ashlyn Woodall of Macon, GA; Hunter Woodall of Macon, GA; Amelie Pelham of Tallahassee, FL: Sisters Sue Ann Wisenbaker of Cincinnati, OH; Sandra Woodall of Winter Haven, FL.
Charles was preceded in death by both parents.
Charles and Simone elected to not have a formal burial service in lieu of having a later memorial for family and friends, the time and place of which has not been decided on.
