Betty McCallum McElmurray

Betty McCallum McElmurray, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Neal Wall officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon GA 31201 or to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.

Betty was born in Lizella, GA to the late James Adolphus and Alma Drawhorn McCallum. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” C. McElmurray. She was a former member of Midway Baptist Church. Betty was an active member at Lizella Baptist Church and was served in various ministries. She was a devoted and loving, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her sons; Kevin (Ronya) McElmurray of Knoxville, TN and Kendall McElmurray of Lizella, grandchildren, Cole McElmurray of Knoxville, TN and MaKensie McElmurray of Lizella, sister, Johnsie (Joe) Ross of Lizella and nephews, Gary Buffkin of Monticello, GA, James Ross of Timberlake, NC, and Terry Ross of Harrisonburg, VA.
