Barbara Marie Deal, 82, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Rex Odom officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm until the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
Barbara was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Roy and Cynthia Slocumb and was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina Deal and granddaughter, Caitlin Deal. She was a bank teller with SunTrust Bank and was also in the real estate business. Barbara was a member of the Macon Charm Club and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Cecil Deal; sons, Lee Deal and Steve Deal; grandchildren, Logan, Jesse, Ryan, Alex and Alyssa; and sister, Ann (Glenn) Comer.
