Vincent came to Rockford in 1955, and married the love of his life Mary (Palmeri) Chiarelli in 1957, and In 1958 Vince established Vince the Tailor on Broadway.
Vince found a passion for playing music at a young age. He started his own record label, Vincent Records, and publishing company, Vincent Chiarelli Music Publishing Company. Vince found success with his band the “Vince Chiarelli Combo”, as well as in his many real estate endeavors.
He was known for his quick wit, jokes, story telling, and working in his garden.
Vincent leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary; children, Phyllis (Jerry) Sarauer, Nina (John) Parlapiano, Joseph (Connie) Chiarelli, Tony (Anna) Chiarelli; siblings, Rose (Dominick) Nicosia, Sam (Mary Ellen), and Marie (Nate) Broughton; grandchildren, Emily (Chris), Eric (Alisha), Vince (Shayna), Danielle, Claudia, Mia, Jacob, and Massimo; great-grandchildren, Ezra, Ethan, Maria, and Nicolas; Brother-in-laws, Manny Palmeri, Joe Palmeri, and Jim (Gail) Hughes; special friends, Tom and Josie Milone, and many others. Special thanks to Dr. Raccanelli and the adult critical care staff of Rockford Memorial Hospital, and Chanse and Lannette for helping Vince at home.
Vincent is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Natalie; infant siblings, Rose and Sam.
Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford with Father Edward Seisser Officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park and from 9-9:45 a.m. Thursday, April 4, at the church.
