Nancy Minor

On Dec. 8th 2024, after a life long battle with illness Nancy departed this earth to be home with God. A very strong willed person Nancy had quite the mischievous nature. She kept everyone on their toes. Always pulling through the most difficult of situations and showing her sassy side. Nancy had quite the artistic spirit to her spanning everywhere from her love of dancing (and boy could she ever) and music, clothing and hairstyles, all the way to drawing and painting. Incredibly she recently began picking up a paint brush again. Nancy was an avid WWE fan hauling her nieces and nephew to many main events at the Metrocentre, rooting for the Undertaker to the very end of his career. She is now looking over all of us as we have looked over her, remembering all her goofy antics and her snarling yawn that would startle anyone out of nowhere.

Nancy is survived by her siblings, Jerry (Kami) Minor and Katrina (Peter) Rhodes; many aunts and uncles; and numerous nieces and nephews who she adored spending time with.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adell Pettenger and Ralph Minor; grandparents, Val and Vernice Minor and James and Emmaline Reece; brother, Val Craig Minor; and niece Cheyenne Young.

A visitation for Nancy will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
