Joyce Marie Stewart, age 91, of Rockford, Illinois passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024. She was born December 14, 1932 to Carl and Gladys Madsen in Rockford, Illinois. She married the love of her life, Clyde Stewart in January of 1964 and they spent 37 wonderful years together before he passed in 2001.
Joyce loved antiquing, she enjoyed going to estate sales and hunting for that perfect treasure. She was part of the Loves Park Women’s Club and served as President of the National Antique Association locally.
Joyce is survived by her children, Jessie (Bill) Lang, David (Mary) Stewart, Nancy McCormick, and Sandy Johnson; grandchildren, Michael (Nora) McCormick, Kevin McCormick, Andrew (Marie) Johnson, Neal (Jessica) Johnson, Lisa Johnson and Natalee Stewart great-grandchildren, Tyson McCormick, Payton McCormick, Eliana McCormick, Evan McCormick, Wesley Johnson, Benjamin Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Cam Johnson, and Russ Johnson; along with many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Stewart and parents, Carl and Gladys Madsen.
A private service will take place.
