Joseph Nicosia Jr., 83, of Rockford, passed away November 8, 2015. Born October 28, 1932 in Sicily, Italy. Son of Joseph and Rosa (Santalucia) Nicosia. Married Diane Nicosia on February 14, 2002. Joseph Nicosia Jr. worked for Gunite and Chrysler over the years. Joseph loved his family and had a passion for gardening and cooking.
Survived by wife Diane; children; Joe (Valerie), Frank (Joanne), Dominic (Atonnia), Rosa (Chad) Stocker; grandchildren; Joey (Lisa), Tony (Ashley), Ryan (JoDee), Amy, Christina (Amy), Dominic (Jill), Tileena (Mark), Nick (Steven), Brandon, Autumn, Ben, Sam; great-grandchildren; Josephine, Frannie, Drake, Soyer, Hattie, Natalie, Ann Marie, Madison, Brianna, Bella, Brittany, Peyton, Atileena, Trevor, Aidan, Nadia and Vincent; siblings; Josephine, Dominic, Ross and Patty. Predeceased by parents.
Funeral Service Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 10 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL. Visitation on Wednesday, November 11 from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
