Jolene M. Loos, 63, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on January 3rd, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Jolene was born on February 6th, 1961 in Belvidere, Illinois to Eugene and Lila West. Jolene obtained her business degree from Rockford Business College. She went on to work at Mylan and eventually PCI as a Clinical Regulatory Affairs Specialist for many years. On June 21st, 2014 Jolene married the love of her life, Eddie Loos. Their love for each other started with a friendly game of darts at Vic & Jim’s in Loves Park, and grew through 17 beautiful years together. Jolene was a member at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Loves Park, Illinois. Jolene’s fandom for America’s Team, the Dallas Cowboys began when she saw Emmitt Smith play, after that, she never missed a game. The love and care giving in Jolene’s heart was never ending, any animal that she could save, help or take care of she did, whether it was through fostering dogs and cats or caring for wildlife, she always took the time to nurse animals back to physical and mental health. Jolene enjoyed online shopping, gardening and camping at Jelly Stone in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with family and she cherished every moment she got to spend with them.
Jolene is survived by her loving husband Eddie Loos; daughter, Jessica (Jimmy) Wolf; step-children, Lindsey (Sage) Arellano and Jacob Loos; grandchildren, Brooklynn and Jersey; step-grandchildren, Ezra, Atlas, and Quinn; siblings, Pam (Gary) Hyser, James (Ruby) West, Jack (Lori) West, and Jay (and late Pam) West; step mother, Donna West; many cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews; many special friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amelia; brother, Jeff West; parents Eugene and Lila West.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th, 2025 from 3pm until the time of service at 6pm at Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115). In lieu of flowers donations can be made to PAWS Humane Society in Cherry Valley, Illinois.
