James Hollis Keeton, son of Hollis and Willie Mae Couch Keeton, was born in Rockford, Illinois, on May 18, 1946, and departed this life November 12, 2021, in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of seventy-five years.
James attended school in Rockford, Illinois and later became a machinist. On June 15, 2003, he was united in marriage with Glenda Jean Parker and together they shared the next eighteen years of love, laughter and precious memories.
Those surviving include his wife Glenda; his children Brian, James and Michael (fiancé Samantha Boncouri) Keeton, Debbie Parson, Tracy Horton and her husband Keith, Tina (Smith) Johnsen and her husband James, Teresa McDonald and her husband James; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for James will be Tuesday November 23, 2021 from 5-8 PM at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park; service to celebrate James life will be 10:00 AM Wednesday November 24, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Willwood Burial Park 7000 West State Street in Rockford.
