James Michael Carlon, 17, of Holcomb IL, passed away June 14, 2022. He was born on October 10, 2004 in Rockford to Jennifer Nash and John Carlon. James had chaotic good character traits; enjoying the excitement life had to offer as well as being a “teddy bear” to those he loved. He was a student of Rochelle High school and had an interest in continuing his education into a welding career. He was a weapon’s aficionado, interested in knife throwing, shooting, and bows and arrows. He had a fascination with the military and deep respect for service members. James was also an animal lover. He loved all animals, but especially his dog, Loki. James was also interested in pagan and Norse mythology. He enjoyed spending his time with his family, riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, fishing and camping. His favorite holiday was Halloween, and he was also an Anime Enthusiast. He will be missed deeply by his friends and family.
He is survived by his parents; Jennifer Nash and John Carlon, siblings; John Douglas, and Julianna (Makenzee) Carlon, grandparents; John and Cindy Carlon, and Mike Bell, uncle Chris and aunt Marbi Carlon, uncle Justin Carlon, cousins; Marilyn and Christopher Carlon, as well as numerous extended family members and friends he loved dearly.
He is predeceased by his brother; Jamie Pentecost, stepmother; Rhona Carlon, grandparents; Lesa and Doug Hopkins, and Debra Bell.
A visitation will take place Friday, June 24th at 5pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Located at 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park IL 61115. Funeral to follow at 6pm.
