Florence Paluzzi, 89, of Rockford, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at PA Peterson. Florence was born July 7, 1934 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Alex and Jennie (Mockus) Delong. She attended Rockford West High School. Florence married the love of her life, Alfonso Paluzzi, on May 9, 1953 in Rockford. She worked at Roma Bakery and in the bakery department at Logli Supermarket. Florence and Al were members of the Lithuanian Club. She loved bowling and playing bingo. Florence will be remembered as a caring and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Florence is loved and missed by her children, Thomas Paluzzi, Frank (Dennis Anderson) Paluzzi, Al (Tonya) Paluzzi, Jr., James Paluzzi, Patricia (Michael Schiro) Capes, Rosemary (Gary) Layne, Michael Paluzzi, and Angela (Joey) Rother; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Al, brothers James Delong, Alex Delong and Thomas Delong.
