Emma K. Johnson, 86, of Loves Park passed away November 10, 2014 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born May 25, 1928 in Rockford; she was the daughter of Louis and Amelia (Bellinaso) Maculan. She married Willard Johnson on April 22, 1950 in Rockford.
A member of St. Bridget Catholic Church, she retired from Sears after many years of employment. Emma also volunteered Walter Lawson Children's Home for numerous years.
She enjoyed spending her time painting, cooking for family events, traveling the world, gambling at the casinos, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her son, James (Tracy) Johnson; life-long friend, Lee Bertuso; numerous nieces, nephews, and granddogs.
Emma was predeceased by her parents, husband, Willard; daughter, Donna L. Johnson; brothers, A. Raymond and Peter Maculan; sisters, Irene Holt and Mary Picchi.
Funeral mass 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 14, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Avenue; Father Christopher DiTomo officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be submitted at sunsetfhmemgardens.com
