Delores Jean Trost, age 83, of Roscoe, Illinois passed away on December 28, 2024. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 6, 1941. She graduated from West High School. She worked in banking, becoming the Vice President of operations for the Bank of Alex Brown. She then later became a business owner with her daughter, opening Crafters Mall. Delores enjoyed traveling with her friends and family, camping with her daughter, and day trips to the casino with her son and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at the lake, swimming with her grandchildren at their home.
Delores is survived by her children, Sam (Dorianne) Castree, Lori (Noel) McClanahan, Michael (Nancy) Trost, Karin Trost, Marc (Jocie) Trost, and Lynn Trost; grandchildren, Jennifer Monachello, Kylee (Jeff) Gerber, Nichole (Matt) Bilodeau, Brittney (Branden) Whitlow, Jennifer (Dan) Acker, Nathan (Adriel) Pugh, Rachel (Stephen) Williams, Justin (Jordan) Trost, and Jessica Johnson; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Bodi, Parker, Madison, Braxton, Camdyn, Finley, Rhys, Elliot, Ana, and Lucy; brothers, Ron (Fran) Grenert and Harold (Michele) Grenert; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Trost, parents, Evelyn and Charles Balsam; and brother, Darryl Grenert.
A visitation for Delores will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM.
