Wendy Jo Spangler gained her angel wings on June 10, 2019 at the age of 52. She was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis in 2015. She fought bravely against ALS until God healed her and freed her from pain. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family and those closest to her. Wendy was born on November 18, 1966 in Dallas, TX to Helen and John Parker, Sr. She had 2 brothers, John and Cory Parker. Growing up she enjoyed rough housing with her two brothers and spending time with her friends. Wendy graduated from Duncanville High School in 1985 and took college classes at East Field and Trinity Valley Community College. Wendy had her daughters Jessica in 1986, Baylee in 1998, and Skylar came in to her life in 1994. She loved her daughters very much and treasured every moment she had with them. She was a dedicated mother who worked hard to provide and be the best mother she could. Well over 10 years ago Wendy found her soul mate, Brad Brown, whom she loved fiercely. Brad stood by her side every moment through her battle. She was very lucky to have found such an amazing partner and best friend in life. Wendy loved working and hardly ever took a day off. She worked for the United States Postal Service for over 17 years. She had the longest tenure in Kerens, TX and worked at many other neighboring post offices. Wendy lived a wonderful and memorable life. She was a shining light in the lives of everyone she knew. Wendy had such a sweet and warm soul. She was sincere and genuine to all her friends and family. Wendy was always quick to show kindness and love to anyone who crossed her path.
Wendy’s surviving loved ones are her partner, Brad Brown, her daughter Baylee Spangler, her daughter Jessica DuBois and husband William DuBois, daughter Skylar Spangler, her parents Helen and John Parker Sr, her brother John Parker Jr and wife Monica Parker and their children Sage, Liam, and Zane, her brother Cory Parker and wife Lauren Hodges and their son Jamison. Wendy is also survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Wendy Jo was a remarkable and special woman who will be missed by so many.
