Marie Lester Bishop

A funeral service will be held for Marie Lester Bishop, 95, of Mabank, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, Texas, Bro. Doug Sexton officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services at 10:00 a. m. at the funeral home.

Marie passed away peacefully on September 3, 2023 in Mabank, Texas. She was born on April 1, 1928 in Kemp, Texas to James Andrew Lester and Effie Mae Palmer Lester, who preceded her in death along with her siblings, Edward Lester, Thomas Lester, Juanita Shoemaker and Vera Stone.

Marie grew up in the Seven Points and Cedar Creek area. She was a woman full of life. Marie enjoyed dancing, traveling and most of all shopping. She could not resist buying clothes the color red! In her leisure time you could find her coloring, doing word puzzles or reading her bible. Marie loved and grew beautiful flowers. Christmas was her favorite time of year with family and friends. Marie loved the Lord, her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all.

C; Doug Sexton and wife, Sheila; Ashley Sexton and Charles Sexton;, sister,Thelma Goode; Brother, Charles Lester and wife, Vicki; a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at Mabank Oaklawn Cemetery immediately following the service.
