Karen was born on December 16, 1947 at march AFB in Riverside, California to parents William Alanzo and Avonne Alma (Hall) McCool and entered into eternal peace on April 25, 2019 at the age of 71. Karen graduated from Colton High School in 1965. Karen was strong and adventurous, she and her husband drove a cross country truck for close to 20 years. She received her broker's license and began selling insurance. She was very active in her community with the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, VFW and American Legion. Her love of animals led her to raise and show Tennessee Walking Horses along with those came Nubian Goats, exotic chickens, Afghan Hounds, Great Danes and Himalayan Cats. She lived with 3 rescue dogs and a cat. She has a passion for Nascar Racing, Game of Thrones and General Hospital. She was an amazing person and she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Simmons and husband Monty Kelso.
She is survived by her sister Darla Simmons and her husband Lee Simmons of Yucaipa, California, sister Sue McCool of Paradise, California, brother Parker McCool and his wife Kathy McCool of Yucaipa, California, her father and mother-in-law; L.D. and Joann Kelso of Gun Barrel City, Texas, her friends Larry and Linda Henry of Gun Barrel City, Texas and many other family members and lifelong friends.
No services will be held. Karen would not have wanted any fuss or sadness.
