Debi found the love of her life in Michael Wayne Williams, and on March 23, 1984, they embarked on a journey of 39 years of pure bliss. Together they had had a furniture moving business for a few years. Debi helped run the company, and handled payroll.
Debi was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, bringing love and laughter to every role she embraced. Debi was a longtime, valued employee at former newspaper publication, The Dallas Times Herald. Debi started out as a mail clerk, ended her career there as the executive assistant to the Vice President of Production. Her career was more than just a job, it was a testament to her dedication and hard work.
Known as the glue of the family, Debi played an instrumental role in family gatherings, adding a touch of feistiness and a whole lot of warmth. She ran the family with love and care, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Outside of her family, her passion for life extended to her love for elephants, collecting antiques, and showcasing her vibrant and lively spirit.
Debi is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Loyce Connaway, and her sister, Dakota “Cody” Brown.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Williams, her daughter Dody Clement and husband Brett, and grandson Airon Clement; sisters, Carole Hurlburt and husband Gary and Dori Reschke and husband Red; brothers, James “Bubba” Connaway and wife Christy, William Shane Connaway, Steven Wayne Connaway and wife Sonya; bonus daughter Elisha Danyell, numerous nieces and nephews who adored their aunt, and many, many more family and friends.
Debi’s memory will live on in the hearts of her husband, daughter, grandson, siblings, and all those who were touched by her.
A memorial to celebrate Debi's beautiful life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11:00 am, officiated by Chaplain Christopher Newsom.
Debi will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Debi's Celebration of Life will be held at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home on December 9, 2023 at 11am.
