Cathy Elaine (Downs) Winkles

“Cat” A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, met her soulmate Larry in middle school in 1963, in Duncanville, on the school bus and they ran away together and were married on September 26, 1966 in Sherman, Texas. She worked while raising her family for Rockwell Collins Aerospace Company and retired in 1990, when they moved to Log Cabin. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother she enjoyed planning and going on family trips and experiences, that included; cruises, beach trips, theme parks and many other adventures. “Cat” particularly loved the white sand beaches at Destin Beach and traveled there with her family as often as possible. She loved the flowers her husband Larry would plant around their home for her to enjoy.

“Cat” is survived by her husband; Larry E. Winkles, children; Larry E. Winkles, Jr., Ashley Edgerton and her husband Thomas, Laura Winkles, brother; Gary Downs, grandchildren; Julie Morse, Alex Morse, Tony Cameron, Casey Winkles, Larry "Trey" Winkles III, Marvin Winkles, Arizona Winkles, Charles Winkles, great grandchildren; Amelie Morse and Isabella Moore. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter; Kim Edgerton, brother; Ronnie Downs.

Cathy will be laid to rest in Payne Cemetery, US-175 E and Ranch to Market Rd 2329, Eustace, Texas 75124.
