Billie Jean “BJ” Williams was born to parents, Buford and Mary Howerton on March 2, 1926. She entered into eternal rest on December 12, 2024 at age of 98.
Billie was an amazing woman of faith, she always said “she was blessed of the Lord”. She graduated with her master’s in education and was a fifth-grade teacher for many years in Texas and Colorado until she retired and moved to Cedar Creek Lake, Texas.
Billie married Raymond “Doc” Williams on May 27, 1967, in Amarillo Texas, and they began their union of 53 years. She was a loving Mother of three daughters and one son.
She and Doc did many activities together including hunting, fishing, golfing, and camping. However, their favorite vacation was cruising with friends. She loved to play Bridge and Joker.
Billie was always active in the First Baptist Church of Eustace, Texas. She was a wonderful hostess and baker. She enjoyed entertaining and playing games, especially Bridge marathons.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Doc” Williams; parents, Buford and Mary , her son, Joe Williams, granddaughter, Shelly Speer, son-in-law Clay Speer, sisters, Opal Howerton, Vonnie Barker, and brother Dannia Howerton.
She is survived by daughters, Bonita Speer, Andi Pastore and husband Paul, Tamme Aureli and husband Leo; grandchildren Scott Speer, Eric Pastore, Kaci Ashley, Sloane Carter, Jay Wesley Williams, Billy Williams, Melissa Williams and Sara Williams; as well as 15 great-grandchildren. She was truly loved and will be missed.
