Russell and Rosalea Flint, longtime residents of Mountlake Terrace passed away together on October 28, 2015. Rosalea was born in Portland Oregon on January 11, 1945 to Eugene and Evelyn Stockton and moved in her early years to Spokane where she met Russ Flint who had been born in Butte Montana on August 6, 1942 to James and Edith Flint. They courted in high school attending North Central High School and married on February 6, 1960. Russ served and was honorably discharged from the Coast Guard and Rose worked at Lincoln Savings. They enjoy camping together, spending time with friends and family, and bowling. They moved to North Seattle in 1965 and to Mountlake Terrace in 1969 where they raised two children. As residents of Mountlake Terrace Russ worked for Adams News and Rosalea worked for J.C. Penny, in banking and at Quick and Bright. In their forties they decided to learn how to ski and took lessons at Snoqualmie. They enjoyed skiing with friends and traveling to Mexico after their children had grown up. After retirement they bought a motor home and spent many happy days camping with their children and grandchildren. They are survived by their children Kerry Flint and Rhonda Owens and their grandchildren Kaylea Flint, Jessica Owens, Tyler Flint and Rebecca Flint. A celebration of life will occur on November 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills: 409 Filbert Road in Lynnwood. In their memory, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of North America.
