Robert John Lundberg, "Bob", born on April 17th, 1938, passed away on April 23rd, 2024. Bob was born in Devil's Lake, North Dakota to Ruth Wallace, a teacher and John Lundberg, a farmer. John and Ruth moved the family along with siblings Gary, Myrtis and Wayne moved to Everett, Washington in the late 40's.
Bob loving spending time on the water, first as a Sea Scout and later as a commercial fisherman. He married Lisa Oskarsdottir in 1962 and together they had 3 children, April Lundberg, Robert O. Lundberg and Anna (Tom) Penner. The family remained in Everett for many years living life alongside the other Lundberg's, Wallace's, Myers, Zuvela's, Hoffman's, Hanson's and all the guys at the Everett docks.
Bob and Lisa divorced in 1994, and Bob continued to live in Everett where he later met Jean Brockey. They remained together until his passing. It was with Jean that Bob turned into a snowbird, spending the summers at Lake Conner Park in Lake Stevens and the rest of the year in Rio Rico, Arizona. Jean turned Bob into a traveler. They took many trips all over the country and Mexico. Jean and her 4 daughters: Vicky, Cathy, Lisa, Tracey and their families were such a blessing to him.
In 2023 Bob moved to Nashville, Tennessee to be closer to his 3 children. Bob's last year was spent much closer to home as life slowed down. His days we filled with dogs, playing cards and remaining the same fun, witty and feisty guy he had always been.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery in Lynnwood, WA on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11am - 2pm.
