suddenly passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 in Edmonds, WA
Holly was preceded in death by her father Michael Burkhart, grandparents Barbara and Johnny Jones,
grandparents Darlene and Tom Peterson and Aunt Patricia Miller.
She leaves behind her mother, Linda Burkhart, daughter MaKaila Cook-Burkhart, sister, Heather Smedema
(Erik) and long-time partner John Hendricks, along with numerous other family members and friends.
When Holly was just 4 months old, her father Michael died in a motorcycle accident. This tragic event left a
gaping hole for Holly all her life.
Holly attended Spruce and Lynnwood Elementary, Alderwood Middle and Lynnwood High school. Holly was
very athletic, she enjoyed basketball and softball, played on teams most of her childhood.
Holly was a beautiful young lady, witty, sassy, sweet, hard-working and also with a dry sense of humor. Holly and her Grandma Jones loved to tease each other. They had a long running joke between them.
Grandma would say she was "beautiful Grandma Jones" Holly would respond with "uh ah Grandma ugly"
and both would laugh.
Jon was the love of Holly’s life. You never saw one without the other. They were a great team together.
Holly's proudest moment was the birth of her daughter MaKaila in 2005. She loved her baby!
Holly's Celebration of Life will be held November 12th at the American Legion Post 127, 21910 State Route 9 SE, Woodinville WA from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
