“The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23
Craig was born in Provo, Utah to Jim and Sheryll Robinson and joining two older sisters, Jayne Elizabeth and Carrie Ann. He was educated in Christian schools and graduated from Auburn Senior High School in 1996. As a young boy, he was fun-loving and brought joy to everyone. He became an uncle at age 11 and was immediately dedicated to all his nieces and nephews. He played baseball and excelled at it. He also enjoyed playing computer games, biking through the woods, rollerblading, and snowboarding with his close friends.
He moved to Bellingham to study at Western Washington University and met the love of his life, Bethany, on the first day of school. Craig always waited for Beth in between classes at the fountain in Red Square, he learned to eat with is left hand so that he could hold hers through dinner and sat in folding chair at a payphone in the snow to talk to her using the unlimited long-distance call special. After five years of courtship, he proposed, and they were married on February 16, 2002. He was a devoted and faithful husband, spending every moment that he could with his beautiful best friend.
When people would ask Craig what he wanted to be when he grew up, he would always say, “a dad”. Before that dream came true, Craig worked at Albertsons, Oshman’s Sports, and Best Buy. Then when Isaiah was born, he became a stay-at-home dad to Isaiah Phillip and Gabriel Otto for 7 years. He enjoyed playing boardgames, swimming, and watching Star Wars with them. He was excited to take them to Disney and loved watching them sing, play soccer, play in the band, wrestle, and ski/snowboard. He was always gentle and kind with them, treating them with the utmost respect and love.
When he returned to work, he was employed at Computer Works in Yakima and then Snohomish School District as a technician assigned to Glacier Peak High School and Little Cedars Elementary. Craig loved his job with the school district and felt that he truly made a difference in the lives of students and teachers. He was always patient and willing to give all that he could to the schools, even when he was sick. He made some of his closest friends through his connections there.
Craig will forever be a deeply loved son, brother, uncle, husband, dad, and GP grizzly! We love you, Craig!
Craig’s Testimony
Craig believed the Gospel, accepted Jesus Christ into his life, and was baptized. He clung to his faith and trusted in the Lord with calm assurance throughout his life. He and Beth plan to reunite at the fountain of living water that flows through the city of heaven. When Craig was near death, Beth asked Craig to tell the boys where he would meet them. His last word to his boys was “heaven”. We are confident that Craig is with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Call to Believe
If you saw Craig’s quiet confidence, his ability to navigate challenge with peace and not conflict, then you have seen the fruit of the Lord. Craig was not perfect, but he was gentle and kind because of his daily trust in the God. That trust won him the prize of heaven. If you would like to live a far from perfect life with calm trust and assurance in Jesus Christ, tell the Lord you believe in Him. Accept the living water of Christ; come to the Lord’s fountain.
“If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Pray and Receive
Lord Jesus, I see my need for you in my life. I want to give up control and trust fully in you. I know that when I try to do it my way, sin and chaos enter my world. I seek you, the God of peace and love. Thank you for washing me of my sins past, present, and future through the sacrifice of Jesus. Thank you for giving me hope of heaven through Jesus’ resurrection and for inviting me to live with you there in perfect peace and joy. Amen
