Ben passed into the arms of Jesus at the age of 90 on November 16, 2015. He was born August 21, 1925. He was a WWII Navy Vet, a man of integrity, faith in Christ Jesus, loyal to his family, friends, career, and country. He loved boating, scuba diving, camping, hiking, playing the organ and piano, oil painting, photography, carpentry of all sorts, and journaling his life stories. He was a Radio Officer in the Navy and aboard merchant ships but later sacrificed the sea to be home with his family. He drove a bus for Seattle Transit, managed ITT World Communications and was CEO/Co-owner of KLB Seattle Marine Radio. He retired at 65. He leaves behind his sweetheart, Barbara Jaeger; his children, Linda Zard, Deanne (Gary) Kruick, David (Annette) Panchot and Laura (Kirk) Larsen; along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marie (Claussen) Panchot; his son, Daniel Forrest Panchot; his granddaughter, Angelique Ward and great granddaughter, Kameko Panchot; his parents, Ben and Mary Panchot; his sisters, Merle Panchot and Ailene Green, and his brothers, Forrest Panchot and David Panchot. He will be greatly missed but, we take comfort knowing that we will see him again. We would like to thank Lori Ellefson for her loving care of him these past two years and all of the staff at Providence Hospital and Swedish Hospital. A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood, WA 98036.
