

Born on December 28th, 2000, in Kirkland, Washington, Alex was the son of Eric Cunningham and Emily Moon. He grew up in Brier and Granite Falls, Washington. From a young age he loved the outdoors. Often spending his days climbing or riding his dirt bike.
Alex graduated from Granite Falls High School in 2019 and went on to apprentice as a welder for Everett Engineering. He split his time between work and school, attending classes at Everett Community College with the goal of becoming a mechanical engineer.
Alex was a truly remarkable young man whose vibrant spirit touched everyone he met. Charismatic and kindhearted, he had an uncanny ability to light up any room with his infectious enthusiasm and genuine warmth. His adventurous spirit and relentless perseverance drove him to conquer towering peaks and uncharted trails, facing every challenge with unwavering courage and tenacity. Steadfast in his integrity, he lived by a moral compass that guided his every decision, earning the trust and admiration of all who knew him.
Alex is survived by his mother, Emily; his father, Eric; his stepmother, Toni; and his sister Kylee. He leaves behind grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Above all, Alex loved God and lived his life according to his favorite scripture; Gal 6:9, “And let us not grow weary of doing good....”
He modeled this to all who knew him.
