William N. Howland Jr.

William N. Howland Jr., age 92, of Seabrook, NH, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late June "Judy" (Slater) Howland with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late William N. Howland Sr. and Madeline (Russell) Howland. He was the devoted father of Lloyd Howland of Seabrook, NH and Thomas Howland and his wife Nancy of Georgetown, the cherished grandfather of Nathanael Howland and his wife Eva of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Jonathan Howland of Austin, Texas, and Jennifer Miner and her husband Joel of Albuquerque, NM, and the great grandfather of Clara Howland and Linnea Howland of New Smyrna Beach. He was the brother of Robert Howland and his wife Marion of Groveland, GA and the late Thomas Howland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He grew up in Lynn and attended Lynn Trade School. He was a Korean War veteran, proudly serving in the United States Marines. He raised his family in Lynn and was a Lynn Fire Fighter who retired in 1987 as a Captain. He and Judy moved to Whitefield, New Hampshire where he enjoyed climbing mountains with his grandchildren and friends. They were active in and loved worshiping at the Whitefield Advent church.

Relatives and friends are invited to William's Visitation on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am followed by an In-House Service at 11:00 am in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
