Travis Joseph Butler, age 12 of Lynn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13th 2022. He was the beloved son of Robert L. and Cynthia J. (Tenney) Butler, and the adoring big brother of Chloe and Colton Butler as well as the soon to be big brother of a new baby sister in April, 2023.
Born in Salem, Travis was a 7th grader at Breed Middle School in Lynn. He took pride in being a straight A student and aspired to attend Lynn Tech following in his dad’s footsteps to become a Plumber with aspirations of also being a General Contractor and Landlord. Travis had a great love for camping and the outdoors. Fishing was a great passion and any and all opportunities to fish he was ready with his rod always in mom’s car. Travis loved all outdoor activities, biking, scootering, basketball and Travis played Flag Football for West Lynn. He was a self-proclaimed, “Sneakerhead” and had a large and spectacular collection of sneakers. Travis enjoyed playing Playstation in his downtime but his favorite pastime was teaching his brother and sister to play football and basketball. Travis also enjoyed the many explorations and travels that his family took throughout New England and playing with his two German Shepherd dogs Tydus and Cruz as well his loving cat Otis.
In addition to his loving parents and siblings, Travis is survived by his grandparents, Rosalie (Scarpa) Butler of Lynn, Janice (Pascucci) Tenney of Swampscott, and so many adoring Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Travis was predeceased by both of his adoring grandfather’s Leon Butler of Lynn and Michael Tenney of Swampscott.
Friends and family are invited to attend Travis’s visitation on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 4:00-8:00pm at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. His funeral will be from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 9:00 AM followed by his Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 571 Boston Street, Lynn at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery.
