Shirley L. (Pari) McEnaney, 83, of Lynn, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas F. McEnaney, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Framingham, Shirley was raised by her aunt and uncle, the late Shirley (Barton) and George Nobile of Lynn. Shirley grew up in the North End of Boston, Marblehead, and Lynn. She attended Lynn English High School.
Shirley worked as a school bus driver for the Michaud Bus Company. She also worked for the Beverly Public Schools as laboratory assistant and Science Lab Coordinator for the middle and elementary schools. She raised her family in Lynn, where she was an active member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was also involved in Lynn Schools Band Boosters Association, and the Infant of Prague Guild where she organized several fashion shows. Shirley was a devoted animal lover, and greatly enjoyed doting on her many pets: cats, dogs, and even a rabbit over the years.
Shirley is survived by her children, Kelly D’Ambrosio of Acton and John T. McEnaney and his partner Cathy Vaucher of Johns Island, SC. She was predeceased by her son-in-law Dominic D’Ambrosio. She also leaves behind grandsons Brendan McEnaney of Los Angeles and Thomas McEnaney of Swampscott. Shirley is also survived by Sharon and Doug Crowell of Lynn, and their sons Chris and Jonathan. She loved them as family in every way that mattered, and they cared deeply for her as well.
Per the family's request, all services and her burial will be private.
